a) Nga is talking to Maryam. They are waiting for Lan outside her school. Put their dialogue in the correct order and copy it into your exercise book. Then read it with your partner. Start like this: (Nga đang nói chuyện với Maryam. Họ đang chờ Lan bên ngoài trường học của cô. Hãy đặt bài đối thoại của họ đúng thứ tự và chép nó vào tập bài tập của em. Bắt đầu như thế này:)

1.A: Hello. You must be Maryam

c.B: That’s right, I am.

5.A: Pleased to meet you. Let me introduce myself, I’m Nga.

b.B: Pleased to meet you, Nga. Are vou one of Lan’s classmates?

4.A: Yes, I am. Are vou enjoying your stay in Vietnam?

d.B: Oh, ves, very much. Vietnamese people are very friendly and Ha Noi is a very interesting city.

2.A: Do you live in a city, too?

e.B: Yes. I live in Kuala Lumpur. Have you been there?

3.A: No. Is it very different from Ha Noi?

a.B: The two cities are the same in some ways.

6.A: I see. Oh! Here’s Lan. Let’s go.

b)Now you are talking to Maryam’s friends. Introduce yourself. Make similar dialogues. Take turns to be one of Maryam’s friends (Bây giờ em đang nói chuyện với các bạn của Maryam, hãy tự giới thiệu và thực hiện những bài đối thoại tương tự. Thay phiên làm một trong người bạn của Maryam.)

You: Hello. You must be Yoko.

Yoko: That’s right. I am.

You: Pleased to meet you, Yoko. Let me introduce myself. T’m Hoa.

Yoko: I’leased to meet you, too. Are you one of Lan’s classmates?

You: Yes, I am. Are you enjoying your stay in Viet Nam?

Yoko: Oh, yes, very much. Vietnamese people are very friendly and helpful. Ha Noi is an interesting city.

You: Do you live in a city too, Yoko?

Yoko: Yes. I live in Tokyo, a big busy capital city of -Japan. Have you been there?

You: No. Is it very different from Hanoi?.

Yoko: I think there are some differences. Tokyo is much larger than Ha Noi. It’s a busy industrial city.

You: How do you like Hanoi?

Yoko: I think it’s very interesting. It has old temples and ancient historical remains (đi tích văn hóa cổ).

You: Oh! Here’s Lan. Let’s go.

Yoko and Maryam: OK.

Paul: That’s right. I am.

You: Pleased to meet you, Paul. Let me introduce myself. I’m Mai.

Paul: Pleased to meet you, Mai. Are you one of Lan’s classmates?

You: Yes, I am. Are you enjoying your stay in Viet Nam?

Paul: Oh, yes, very much. Vietnamese people arf very friendly and Ha Noi is an interesting city.

You: Do you live in a city too, Paul?

Paul: Yes. I live in Liverpool, an industrial city in north of England.

You: Is it very different from Ha Noi?

Paul: I think the two cities are the same in some ways.

You: How do you like Viet Nam ?

Paul: Vietnamese people are very friendly. The food is very good and the beaches are very beautiful.

You: Hello. You must be Jane.

Jane: That’s right. I am.

You: Pleased to meet you. Jane. Let me introduce myself. I’m Nam.

Jane: Pleased to meet you too, Nam. Are you one of Lan’s classmates?

You: Yes, I am. Where’re you from, Jane?

Jane: I’m from Perth, a quiet small town in Australia.

You: Is it different from Ha Noi?

Jane: The two cities are the same in some ways. Have you been there?

You: No. How do you like Viet Nam?

Jane: Viet Nam is a beautiful country and has ancient temples and churches. The people here are very friendly, too.

You: What do you like in Viet Nam, especially?

Jane: I love “Áo dài”, Vietnamese food and especially “nem”.
