Có 4 loại từ nối phụ thuộc, bao gồm từ nối phụ thuộc trong mệnh đề quan hệ, từ nối phụ thuộc trong mệnh đề điều kiện, từ nối phụ thuộc trong mệnh đề danh từ, và từ nối phụ thuộc trong mệnh đề trạng ngữ. Cụ thế như sau:
