Exercise 1. Choose the right answers from the box to the questions of the conversation between the doctor and Judy.

Doctor: Good morning. What can I do for you?

Judy:     (1)______________________________________________________.

Doctor: Let me take a look at your shoulder. Where does it hurt?

Judy:     (2)______________________________________________________.

Doctor: Mmm, I see. It feels a bit tense. (Gently moves her arm and shoulder.) What happened exactly?

Doctor: It’s nothing serious. I think you’ve been very fortunate. Have you ever used the hot-cloth-and-frozen-peas treatment?

Doctor: It’s quite simple. You put a very hot, wet cloth on your shoulder for one minute. Then put a packet of frozen peas on the shoulder for one minute. And so on and so on.

Judy:    What does that do?

• What treatment did the doctor suggest to Judy?
