Prince was bom in 1958 in Minnesota. His parents were both in music industry as his father was a musician and his mother was a singer. Prince became interested in music at a young age and taught himself to play the piano, guitar and drums. In high school, Prince formed his first band Grand Central with his two close friends. In 1978, Prince signed his first contract with Warner Bros. He achieved wide fame in the 1980s. Some of his famous albums are 1999, Purple Rain and Musicology.
