(1) I’ve had a very busy day. (2) I have been making a lot of preparations. (3) I woke up early in the morning, went to the rent-a-car office, and hired a new car. (4) Then after a quick breakfast, I went to John’s house and borrowed a long ladder. (5) Then I drove to work.
(6) During my coffee break, I made a copy of my birth certificate, (7) and before I had lunch, I visited the bank and closed the account. (8) Then on my way home from work, I bought three bottles of champagne. (9) As soon as I got home, I rushed upstairs and packed all my clothes.
