Venus is the second planet from the Sun. It has no natural satellite. Venus takes 224.7 Earth day to orbit the Sun. Astronomers have known Venus for thousands of years. It is named after the Roman Goddess of love and beauty. Venus is the brightest thing in the night sky except for the moon. It is sometimes called the sister planet of Earth as they or the evening star. Venus is also sometimes called the sister planet of Earth as they are quite similar in size and gravity. There have been many explorations to Venus by humans since the mid-20th century. Scientists discover that Venus’ atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid, which is very poisonous to humans.
